Bio & Resume
Di’ana Rodriguez is a writer, director, composer, and actor known for creating impactful, character-driven stories.
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Di’ana began her career at age 11 in Las Vegas, debuting as Liana Franklova in the stage drama I Never Saw Another Butterfly, set during the Holocaust. Her early work included roles in Dance On Sunset (Nickelodeon), Pandemic (Hallmark), and a Volkswagen commercial with cast members from Stomp.
In her teens, Di’ana toured the U.S. as Patsy Cline in Always… Patsy Cline (Ted Swindley Productions). She later moved to New York City, where she starred as the lead in the children’s TV series At The Wave.
Di’ana earned a B.S. in Psychology from Wilmington University in 2021, focusing on human trafficking and trauma-informed approaches, while also studying screenwriting. During this time, she co-wrote the TV pilot Belladonna, which won second place at the 2023 Scriptapalooza TV Competition. She then created Belladonna the Musical, a two-act historical drama, and made her directorial debut with its premiere in March 2024. The musical received praise from Broadway World and Orlando Weekly.
As a script producer with FLOW Productions, Di’ana develops narratives for short films. With over 15 years of professional experience, her background in psychology strengthens her approach to character development and storytelling. She is also a singer-songwriter who has directed and performed original music in films, stage productions, and music videos.
Di’ana’s work blends creativity with advocacy, addressing issues like mental health, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Whether on stage, behind the camera, or in the writer’s room, she creates art with the power to inspire change.
